Owen Coyle praised his side's never-say-die spirit as they struck late to claim the points against Queens Park Rangers at Ewood Park.
After a slow start from the home side the manager felt the victory was fully deserved and hopes they can use this to now kick on in the league.
"It was nice to win it late given that the other night we lost to a late goal and it has happened to us a few times before," Coyle told Radio Rovers.
"So it was nice that the players show that spirit and that drive to keep on going. It was a wonderful move and a wonderful goal and I'm delighted for the three points.
"They had a very good start in the game but from ten minutes in we grew into it.
"There was the long throw in the second half that was only their real chance and there was a debate as to whether it was over the line. If it was then it was probably the first bit of luck that we've had all season.
"We said that it would be massive to get the three points and I felt we deserved it. We dealt with what they had to offer and we were the aggressors.
"We had a few opportunities before the goal to get in front, a few things flying across the box and just over the bar. But what a wonderful goal to win the game.
"What we have to do now is kick on and be ready when we go to Rotherham next week."
Rovers are back on the road next weekend when they travel to take on Rotherham United at the ASSEAL New York Stadium.
