Sam Gallagher was delighted to fire Rovers to victory against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.
The Rovers striker took his goal tally for the season to 11 with a dramatic injury-time winner at Ewood Park, to claim a vital three points.
A quick turn of pace from fellow forward Marvin Emnes allowed him to centre with Gallagher gleeful that he was able to apply the finishing touch.
"That felt amazing," Gallagher told Radio Rovers. "It was good to have Marvin back in the team as well, you've seen him showing his quality again with the assist.
"To get to the front post was always my first thought and when the ball arrived there I was very grateful.
"As soon as Marvin went round his man I knew that was the only place he could put it, so to get there and put it in was amazing."
The 21-year-old felt it was about time that Rovers claimed a last-minute winner, after being on the receiving end in recent weeks.
"That is what we have been missing," he added. "It has been the other way around recently where other teams have scored in the last minute against us, like the other day against Leeds. So to get one of those in the 90-odd minute is the perfect way to win.
"If you are going to win one way then you want to grab a 90th minute winner.
"As long as it is a win we'll take anything, a goal off a shin, anything just to get those three points, they're vital. It was such a big game to win, to get three points against QPR should put us in good stead for the next few games."
Rovers are back on the road this Saturday when they travel to take on Rotherham United at the ASSEAL New York Stadium.
