Tony Mowbray already has his eyes set on young and hungry additions to his squad ahead of the opening of the January transfer window.
But the boss also knows he doesn't need to tinker too much with his squad.
Rovers, overseen by Mowbray, have already started making strides on a long-term plan for bringing players in, as Mowbray explains.
"We've been working hard to put a recruitment department together, going through an extensive procedure to get that area of the club started," he said.
"There will be evidence of why we've signed players in the future, with statistics and in depth data.
"I expect this window will be like the summer window. I think it was decent in the summer for us in terms of keeping personnel and bringing in the right players and I expect similar in January.
"We have to have conversations and we'll certainly look to strengthen and build on the sigings like [Bradley] Dack and [Dominic] Samuel in the summer.
"Those are the sort of players we want to be investing in. We want young players who can grow with the club. We want to keep building and bringing in good players to take us forward."
