Rovers tackle Stoke City's youth team at Ewood Park on Wednesday night in the third round of the FA Youth Cup.
Rovers sealed progress from the second round with a narrow home win over Wrexham at Ewood, with Brad Lynch and Dan Butterworth both bagging after an own goal equalised for Rovers in the fist half.
Opponents Stoke enter the competition at this stage and will no doubt still be smarting from beating Rovers in the league earlier in the season.
However, it's expected the Rovers side will be different to the one that suffered defeat to the Potters, with Billy Barr's team finishing the game with five players under the age of 16.
Rovers do have history in the FA Youth Cup and finished runners up just five years ago.
Stoke have really had a barren run in the competition, though, with the closest they've come to winning it was finishing runners up in 1984.
Kick off is scheduled for 7.00pm at Ewood Park on Wednesday 13th December.
Admission is £4 for adults and £2 for concessions (65+ and ages 17 and under). Season tickets are not valid for this fixture.
