Derrick Williams hopes Rovers can claim their first home win of the season to back up the good work shown last week against Bradford City.

After collecting their first points of the season seven days ago with hard-fought victory over the Bantams, the Rovers defender knows it is imperative that they follow it up with another three-point haul over MK Dons this afternoon.

Last season's Player of the Year admits the team haven't had the start they would have wanted, but insists that they have the quality to quickly get their campaign up and running.

"We want to go straight back up and we are more than capable of doing that," the defender told iFollow Rovers.

"We haven't had the best of starts but hopefully we can turn it around on Saturday and really set a mark after beating Bradford.

"Against Bradford we all worked really hard and we've all realised that we have to do that every game if we want to win in this league. So hopefully we can do that on Saturday.

"It has took us a while to get used to it but I think last Saturday was a massive progression. We worked hard and got our reward, so we have to have that in our minds that in every game you have to do that.

"Momentum is so important in this game so with the international break coming up it would be good to get another three points before that."
