Elliott Bennett insists Rovers have to put in a performance like last Saturday at Bradford, if they are to defeat Burnley tomorrow night.
Rovers claimed their first points of the season after a hardworking 1-0 victory at Valley Parade, inflicting a first home defeat in 18 months on the Bantams.
Now as attentions turn to the Carabao Cup and the clash with the Clarets at Ewood Park on Wednesday, the midfielder knows it is vitally important that they show the same work-rate and commitment in order to get the same result.
"It is obviously a massive game for the football club and it is even bigger for the fans.
"So hopefully we can give them the local bragging rights.
"They're a Premier League team so it will be good to pit our wits against Premier League opposition. It is even better that it is the club's local rivals.
"Obviously the fans will turn out in their numbers again looking for a performance and we'll have to produce something similar to Bradford in terms of the work-rate, endeavour, and challenges flying in.
"Then we'll have to try and see what we can do with the ball and hopefully we can get the win."
Fans are reminded that tickets for this Wednesday's cup match go off sale at 4pm on the day of the game. There will be NO TICKET SALES after that.
