Richie Smallwood and Peter Whittingham enjoyed the first non-football outing of their Blackburn Rovers careers by taking a fun trip to the Community Trust's Football and Activity Camps.
The summer signings turned up at the Blackburn Rovers Indoor Centre to see how the group of five to 11-year-olds were getting on, and were persuaded to join in with a game of football rounders and a few five and seven-a-side contests, creating some great chances for their young team mates.
Having posed for photos and signed autographs for every child at the camp, the pair departed, having made a very positive first impression with their junior followers.
If parents or guardians are stuck for ideas on how to keep their child entertained throughout the summer, these camps - complete with their surprise guest visits - could be the perfect answer.
Held every weekday (excluding August Bank Holiday Monday) until Friday 1st September at Ewood Park, the Football and Activity Camps are open from 9am to 3pm to offer them an enjoyable alternative to sitting in front of the TV all day! At just £12 per day, £40 for a four day week (Bank Holiday week only) or £50 for a five day week, the value is unquestionable.
Those needing additional childcare through to the end of the working day can also register their child for the After Camp from 3pm-5pm, which offers arts and crafts, supervised computer access and the chance to watch films for just an extra £3 per day.
