Andrew at Land's End

Mower-mad Rovers fan Andrew Maxfield has completed his unique charity challenge.

A regular at Ewood Park since 1974, Andrew completed the journey from John o' Groats to Land’s End on a John Deere lawnmower in an impressive five days, eight hours and 45 minutes.

The 48-year-old, and his daughter, Kathryn, 23, departed Scotland on Tuesday July 25th, and after a gruelling five days and some 900 miles, they arrived at the Cornish landmark.

Riding to raise funds for the Alzheimer's Society, Andrew had initially set a target of raising £1000 for the charity, but they've managed to raise more than five times that amount.

They also hope to get the time taken to complete the journey on the 9mph John Deere x750 lawnmower classified as a new Guinness World Record.

Andrew is continuing to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society. Fans can donate by visiting or by texting MAXF80 £3 to 70070.
