Rovers' Under-23s will be out to make it three wins from three when they take on Southampton this Friday evening.
Damien Johnson's young guns have started the new season in impressive fashion with back-to-back victories in the league.
They began with a comprehensive 5-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Ewood Park, before scoring five once more as they inflicted a 5-3 defeat on Reading last time out.
In a quirk of the fixture calendar, tonight's opponents Southampton have also played Wolves and Reading in their opening two league games, albeit with differing results.
The Saints started with a comfortable 4-0 home win over Reading at St. Mary's, but were then beaten 3-0 by Wolves on Monday.
Having named an unchanged side in the first two matches, Johnson is likely to go with the same squad for tonight's match.
Kick-off at Southampton's Staplewood Training Ground is at 7.00pm.
