Rovers could welcome back Ryan Nyambe for this Saturday's home match with Milton Keynes Dons.
The Rovers defender has missed the last two outings with a knee injury but provided he shows no reaction to training, he could return to Tony Mowbray's squad.
Elsewhere the manager doesn't anticipate any other players returning from injury, with the likes of Darragh Lenihan (foot), Bradley Dack (hamstring) and Scott Wharton (ankle) not expected back until after the international break.
"Not a lot has changed really," Mowbray told iFollow Rovers on Friday morning.
"We've got Nyambe back on the grass but wether he is going to be ready I'm not sure. We'll have to see if there is any reaction to his training.
"But Lenihan and Dack are still not on the grass, Wharton isn't out there, so we are about the same.
"I think timescale-wise, we are still waiting on a scan result for Scotty Wharton, but fingers crossed for the other two for Bradley and Darragh that they aren't too far away after the international break."
