Rovers kick-off their home league campaign this Saturday with a Roses clash as Doncaster Rovers make the journey across the Pennines to Ewood Park.

The manager knows that Darren Ferguson's side will provide another tough test, but one that Mowbray hopes Rovers can overcome.

"I think it is important we try and get off on the right foot and we try and make our home record really strong this year," he said.

"We only lost one last year in the period I was at the club but probably drew too many.

"We need to find a formula I think that is going to allow us to pick up a lot of points at home this year. If you've got aspirations of trying to get out of this division then you are going to pick the majority of points up at home. So our hope is to be strong and to be positive.

"Against Doncaster, they've got another experienced manager in Darren Ferguson. His teams will play football and they'll give you problems playing between the spaces that you leave.

"So it is a dangerous game but one that we have to be postitive in, to go and attack and make sure that we get off on the right foot at home this season.

"Lets look forward to it, lets get the season started."

Tickets for Saturday's first home game of the season are currently on open sale priced from £20 for Adults, £13 Concessions, £7 Under-18s and Under-12s from £5. Book online now at www.eticketing.co.uk/onerovers/, buy in store at Ewood Park, or via our call centre on 01254 372000.
