Tony Mowbray believes that given time Dominic Samuel and Bradley Dack can become huge players for Blackburn Rovers.
Samuel's third goal in his last three outings enabled Rovers to collect their first points of the season with a battling 1-0 victory over Bradford City.
Fellow summer signing Dack also caught the eye with an all-action display at Valley Parade, and whilst the manager feels that some patience needs to be applied because of their tender years, he believes they have the talent to have a bright future at Ewood Park.
"We brought Dominic and we brought Bradley Dack to this club to fire us out of this league," said Mowbray.
"They are only young boys at 23, and if was to appeal to the fans it would be to give them a little bit of leeway as they are still learning the game.
"But I think they've got the legs, the energy, and the talent. And as they move forward they'll be big assets for this football club but they do need a bit of time."
Rovers are back in action this Wednesday night when Burnley are the visitors to Ewood Park in the second round of the Carabao Cup.
