Danny Graham knows it is vitally important that Rovers get off to a good start on home soil this afternoon.
Rovers started life in League One with a disappointing opening day defeat away at Southend United, and the striker insists they have to make up for it when Doncaster visit Ewood Park.
"We've got to get off to a good start at Ewood," said Graham.
"We've got to make sure that we win. We've got to turn it into a fortress this season if we want to achieve what we are looking to do.
"So hopefully we can put on a good performance for the fans and hopefully it will make up for the ones we let down who travelled to Southend."
Last season's top scorer was an unused substitute as Rovers knocked out Coventry City in the first round of the Carabao Cup. And Graham hopes it can act as a timely boost for this afternoon's league match.
"I think it was a lot better performance," added the striker.
"We dominated the ball, had a lot of chances and scored three very good goals which is pleasing.
"Wins breed confidence to the team whoever you play so it was nice to get the win. Everyone is really looking forward to the Doncaster game now."
