Rovers can confirm that the upcoming home game against Fleetwood Town has been postponed.
The League One fixture was due to take place at Ewood Park on Sunday September 3rd and was scheduled to be shown live on Sky.
However, as Charlie Mulgrew (Scotland), Corry Evans (Northern Ireland) and Jayson Leutwiler (Canada) have all been called up for international duty that weekend, Rovers have received approval from the EFL that the game can be rearranged.
Under EFL policy, clubs are only able to request postponement of league games in the event that they have three or more players selected for international duty.
Therefore, Rovers’ Checkatrade Trophy Group C match at home to Stoke City Under-21s on Tuesday August 29th (kick-off 7.45pm) will go ahead as planned.
A new date for the Fleetwood fixture will be announced in due course.
