We know what is at stake

Elliott Bennett believes Rovers can rise to the occasion when they take on Aston Villa this Saturday.

The Rovers midfielder feels that there is enough big game experience in the camp to get the result to keep their Championship hopes alive.

Bennett knows that Rovers have shown that they can compete against the best this season, and has called for one last big push to achieve their objective.

"We've been positive all week and will go into the game with a positive mindset and hopefully we can get the result we all want," he told Rovers PlayerHD.

"It is massive, it is probably one of the biggest games for a long time for the football club. We know what is at stake and we've got to go all out to win on Saturday.

"We beat Newcastle twice and they have just got promoted out of the division, so anyone can beat anyone in the league and we've shown throughout the course of the season that we can definitely compete with the teams that are fighting at the top.

"Aston Villa are a massive football club, they've maybe not performed as well as they would have hoped for this season, but they've still got plenty of threats in their team and we'll obviously be looking to nullify their threats, but also impose ourselves on them and win the game."

Bennett has scored some stunning goals this season, but whilst he'd love to add to his tally this afternoon, he doesn't care how it goes in.

"I hope so, I really hope so," he added. "I'll take one off the face to be honest as long as we win the game. It doesn't matter who scores, we know what is the task at hand, it is all about winning the game."
