We are all in it together

13 April 2017

Tony Mowbray insists everyone at the club is doing everything they can to get the results to move Rovers out of the relegation places.

After the disappointment of last week's display against Barnsley the manager knows it is imperative that everybody associated with the club pulls together to ensure a satisfactory end to the current campaign.

Mowbray hopes the fans continue to give their all in backing the side, and he hopes to repay them with a performance and the points against Nottingham Forest.

"As I said after the previous game last Saturday we all need to stick together," said the Ewood boss.

"The fans have been fantastic since I walked into the building. We've had one result which is really disappointing really. Of course you could say we've had three disappointing results, but away from home against two teams in the top four was always a difficult ask.

"The Barnsley game was obviously a huge set-back for us but we all have to stick together. The supporters, the team, the players, everybody has to understand the gravity of the situation and we have to focus to try and get a result.

"I have to say, every game has been that. Barnsley wasn't as if we just turned up and thought everything was going to happen. It is football, it can happen the way it did. We lost a goal from a corner early on and then the boy smashes one in off the bar from 30-yards and it made life very difficult for us.

"Lets hope some circumstances dictate that we find ourselves in front in a game and we can get the points at the weekend. It is football, you have to deal with what comes. There is no lack of preparation, there's no lack of desire, there's no lack of effort, we are all in it together.

"The fans I'm sure will go and support the team wholly and we'll try and give them a performance that makes it an enjoyable day for everybody."

Tickets for tomorrow's match are no longer available from Ewood Park. Fans can pay on the day at the City Ground, cash only from the away ticket office.
