Tony Mowbray has issued a rallying cry to fans to help play their part in the fight for Championship survival.
Ahead of this weekend's huge match at Barnsley, the boss has called on anyone with 'Rovers in their heart' to show their support at Ewood Park.
Mowbray has been delighted with the backing his side has received since taking over as manager, and wants another special atmosphere this Saturday.
"Hopefully it is going to be an exciting last six games, ones that we should embrace and look forward to," said the head coach.
"I would almost appeal to the supporters, anybody who has got a Rovers heart under their shirt to come and support their team in the home games.
"This is our hour of need when we need some extra backing - as every game. There are going to be spells in a game when it is backs to the walls and we need everybody showing their support for the eleven lads on the pitch at the time to try and get the job done.
"I think the environment and the atmosphere in the stadium since I've come in has been really positive.
"We have to continue in that vein, that is why I am saying that if you've got Blackburn Rovers in your heart then come along.
"If you haven't been for a while then the team needs you now really because it does make a difference.
"I have felt in those games that the fans have been very very positive to the team and the team has reacted. Ultimately it does help football teams that are fighting for something, striving for something, and I'm sure the fans have got a big part to play and hopefully we can reward them with the right results."
