Tony Mowbray knows it is vital that Rovers continue their fine form at Ewood Park with a positive result against Barnsley this afternoon.
Rovers are unbeaten on home soil under the new manager and whilst he insists the side have been performing well in recent weeks, they have to back that up with three points against the south Yorkshire side.
"We've been showing them lots of positive play over the last four or five weeks, some amazing chances that didn't go into the back of the net," said the boss.
"I'm thinking of the home games particularly, against Cardiff which ended in a draw where we got a late goal, but the chances building up to that, it was a game that we should have won with the chances that we created. Preston, we did more than enough to win that football match.
"All we need to do is find the same level of confidence that we played in those games and the games against Derby and Wigan where we came out on top.
"Here we are, six games to go and we are looking forward to it. We shouldn't be afraid of it.
"We understand that Barnsley is going to be a really tough game, they are a very young team who is going to give everything that they've got.
"We have to make sure that we stand up to their work ethic and hopefully use our quality to win the match.
"We are four unbeaten at home in this period so we've got to try and make that five with hopefully three points, a positive performance, and a good win."
