Rovers Ladies were denied three points with almost the last kick of the game on Sunday as Leicester City came from two goals down to draw 2-2.
The league champions lead early through Jess Holbrook, before Alex Taylor doubled the home side's advantage inside the opening half hour.
But a goal from Foxes forward Paige Crossman before the break reduced arrears, before she struck once more at the end of the match to earn a share of the points.
Returning to the scene of their league triumph seven days earlier, the Rovers Ladies were quickly out of the blocks at Bamber Bridge, star striker Saffron Jordan going close with an early effort.
But it wouldn't be too long before Gemma Donnelly's side grabbed the opening goal. Natasha Fenton showing good strength to win the ball before feeding Jordan who teed up for Holbrook to fire home the Ladies' 100th goal this season.
Soon after the Rovers' advantage was doubled with Jordan again the provider with a cutback for Taylor to drill home.
However Rovers weren't to have it their own way and the Foxes pulled a goal back right on the stroke of half-time when following a flurry of corner kicks, Crossman found the back of the net.
The second half was a largely quiet affair with both sides cancelling each other out, but in the closing stages it was the team from Leicester who were imposing themselves more.
And a lack of concentration in the final seconds would prove costly as Rovers were caught napping, allowing Crossman to race through and grab a point for the Foxes with her second of the match.
The Rovers Ladies are back in action next Sunday when they travel to face Derby County - the side they clinched the league title against a week ago.
