Tony Mowbray was pleased for Tommie Hoban after his first goal in Rovers colours secured a 1-0 Good Friday victory over Nottingham Forest.

The on-loan defender has struggled since returning to the side after missing several months following an operation on a shoulder injury, but his boss was delighted to see Hoban on the scoresheet as well as playing his part in a strong defensive display to earn a valuable three points.

Mowbray admitted that Hoban had been suffering over the last few weeks, but hopes that the goal and the clean sheet can give him a boost for the remaining matches.

"Tommie has been out for four or five months and he has come in and played maybe four or five games and he has cost us a few goals in that time and he knows that," said the manager.

"So it is great for him that he could get some reward for all his effort and his focus because he's a fantastic guy, a fantastic individual, and he's suffered over the last few weeks.

"So I'm pleased for him and pleased for the team."

Hoban and Rovers are back in action tomorrow when Bristol City are the visitors to Ewood Park.

Tickets are on open sale up until the 3pm kick-off on the day of the game, with prices from £18 Adults, £12 Concessions and just £7 for Juniors aged 17 and under. Buy online today at and collect from the Roverstore collection point on the day of the game.
