Rovers were left counting the cost as two key players picked up potentially serious injuries in tonight's defeat to Reading.
Charlie Mulgrew was stretchered off after just eight minutes at the Madejski Stadium, whilst Darragh Lenihan didn't reappear at the start of the second half after being caught by a late challenge by Jordon Mutch.
Speaking after the match, boss Tony Mowbray admitted: "I think Charlie will need to go for a scan or an x-ray tomorrow.
"It looks like he could be struggling a little bit, but I shouldn't really comment until we investigate more I think.
"He is obviously on crutches so we'll have to wait and see.
"Darragh has got a cast on his ankle as well so that is another concern, but now isn't the time to talk about injuries in my mind."
Rovers return to Ewood Park this Saturday when Barnsley are the visitors.
