Owen Coyle will make changes to his starting eleven for tomorrow night's EFL Cup third round tie with Leeds United.

The Rovers boss will look to freshen up the squad and use the cup clash to give game time to those who haven't featured regularly in recent weeks.

Rovers will be without the cup-tied defensive duo of Derrick Williams and Tommie Hoban, whilst Gordon Greer, Charlie Mulgrew, Danny Graham, Anthony Stokes, Adam Henley and Elliott Ward are all sidelined through injury.

David Raya will start in goal, whilst the likes of Martin Samuelsen, Liam Feeney and Jack Byrne could all play at Elland Road.

"I think it is fair to say that there will be eight or nine changes to the team tomorrow, there are a number of players that need an opportunity to play," said the manager.

"That then will allow us to give one or two that little break in readiness for Derby County on Saturday.

"Gordon Greer won't be involved, Tommie Hoban and Derrick Williams are cup-tied, so that tells you straight away that there'll be a number of changes to the back line.

"Young Samuelsen has only played a small part so he'll get an opportunity as will a couple of others so I think we have good players that will want to play and show their quality.

"Of course we'll need to chop and change but we'll have a team that is competitive, a team that will go there and try to win the game, and I believe we have enough quality to try and win."
