Owen Coyle felt Rovers were full value for the victory as they came from behind to claim the points at the iPro Stadium.
Second half strikes from Marvin Emnes and Danny Graham saw Rovers bounce back from the disappointment of missing a first half penalty and going behind to Matej Vydra's opener, to secure back-to-back wins in the Championship.
The manager was delighted with the way the team performed throughout and believed their quality counted when it mattered.
"I thought from the first whistle the level of performance was of a high calibre," the boss told Rovers PlayerHD.
"We knew that we had to be brave with the ball and work our socks off when we didn't.
"We felt we should have had a penalty early in the game before Ben was unlucky when his hit the post. We were very much in control and came in aggrieved not to be in front.
"But in the second we found ourselves a goal behind and it could have been easy to feel sorry for ourselves, but we picked ourselves up and showed the quality that we have got.
"The initial play for Marvin's goal was brilliant, but the second goal is a contender for goal of the season as there must been five one-two's in the middle of the park before a weighted pass to the edge of the box and it is slipped in for a wonderful finish from Danny Graham.
"We showed an unbelievable spirit, we are delighted to send the fantastic travelling fans home with a smile on their faces."
