Jason Lowe believes Rovers are heading in the right direction in terms of performances, but knows that the team have to start picking up more points.
As they prepare to take on Queens Park Rangers this Saturday, Rovers still await their first league win of the season, but the captain feels they can build on the positive aspects of their performance against Fulham last time out as they bid to claim their first three points.
"Obviously it has been a slow start to the season and not what we have wanted," said Lowe.
"But in the last game against Fulham I felt we put in a really good performance on that day against a team that is doing really well at the other end of the table, so that is something to build on, we have to take the positives from that.
"I think we should have more points than we have at the minute, but it never lies and there's a reason why we are where we are. We have to just keep pushing forward and trying to improve as a group and just get off the mark with that first win as soon as possible.
"So going into the game at the weekend it is just a case of getting the first win by any means necessary now. We've just got to keep sticking together, stick to the game plan and hopefully we can get the points on the board.
"As soon as we can get that first win it will just settle the place down a little bit, give us that confidence and hopefully then we can build on it."
