Owen Coyle is anticipating another tough encounter when Rovers face Rotherham United at Ewood tomorrow.
The manager was in attendance at the Millers' draw with Nottingham Forest on Wednesday night as Alan Stubb's side scored late to secure a 2-2 draw.
Rovers did the double over Rotherham last season, and the manager knows that they'll have to perform to the best of their ability if they are to record a first victory of the season.
"Rotherham performed very well against Nottingham Forest on Wednesday night, so we know that we are going to have to be at our best," said Coyle.
"But if we are then it is certainly a game that we can win to get us up and running.
"Whoever you play in the Championship they are all tough games. Rotherham are a team that are full of energy, very much like Burton in that respect, very hard working and they do have quality players.
"Alan Stubbs is a good friend of mine, we played together at Bolton and I know he'll have his team fired up to try and win the game.
"Equally we've got to make sure that we are progressing and getting better each game and to do that we've got pass and move the ball well, create chances, and be clinical when we get them.
"We had some wonderful chances the other night at Leeds United, and that is what we have to do from the first minute. We've got to look to create those chances, get in front and then give ourselves that breathing space to go and win the game.
"So for us we've got to focus and concentrate on what we can do and make sure that we are at our best, and if we are then we know it is a game that we can win."
