Owen Coyle believes Marven Emnes is ready to start for Rovers after his goalscoring display against Leeds United on Tuesday night.

The Dutch forward stepped off the bench to score a stunning individual goal at Elland Road, his first for the club since joining on loan until the turn of the year.

The manager admits he was in two minds whether to put Emnes in from the start at Leeds, but after his impressive performance the forward could make his full debut at Ewood against Rotherham United this Saturday.

"You saw it on Saturday with his little cameo at Queens Park Rangers, and it was touch and go as to whether we started him at Leeds, but he's certainly shown that he's ready to start the games now.

"He is fully fit, he is up and running and he scored a wonderful goal.

"He is different to what we have got, he's got a little bit of trickery about him, he can do the individual stuff, he can play up there on his own.

"So he gives us another potent threat in the forward area."

Tickets for Saturday's match against Rotherham are on open sale up until the 3pm kick-off priced from £18 for Adults, £12 Concessions and £7 for Juniors aged 17 and under.

Book now online at, or at the Roverstore, Ewood Park, or by calling the ticket office on 01254 372000.
