Rovers hope to welcome back Danny Graham and Anthony Stokes to the matchday squad for Saturday's trip to Derby County.
The striking duo have both returned to training after injury and could come into contention for the match at the iPro Stadium.
Stokes hasn't played since tweaking a knee ligament in training during the international break at the beginning of the month, whilst Graham has sat out the last two matches with an ankle knock.
New signing Wes Brown could also come into contention after signing for the remainder of the season.
"Injury-wise Danny Graham trained with the group today, as did Anthony Stokes," the manager told Rovers PlayerHD.
"So it is nice to see the two of them on the training ground today, we'll see if there's any reaction and take it from there to see if they're available. We'll can also add Wes Brown to the squad for Saturday.
"Obviously we still have Elliott Ward and Adam Henley out, whilst Charlie Mulgrew is progressing nicely but he is still not training with the group yet.
"But because of the number of changes that we made in midweek we do now have that freshness in the group that started on Saturday to make sure that they are ready to go again at Derby."
Tickets for Saturday's match will be on sale at Ewood until 3.30pm on Friday, priced at £25.50 Adults, £18.00 Seniors 65+, and £14.50 for Under 18’s.
After that supporters can buy on the day at Derby from the away ticket office from 1.30pm, but should note that prices rise on the day to £28.50 for Adults, £20 Seniors and £16.50 Juniors.
Blues Bar will be open from 10am on Saturday for fans who are travelling on official coach travel to Derby.
