Rovers' Under-18s came from behind to defeat Stoke City on Saturday to record their second league win of the season.
The Potters lead at the break through Krisztofer Szereto's goal on the half hour, but Rovers hit back late to claim the points thanks to two goals in the last 11 minutes at the Clayton Wood Training Ground.
Substitute Jack Evans levelled for Rovers on 79 minutes, before Brad Lynch grabbed the winner six minutes from time.
The much-changed Rovers were bright from the off, starting the game well with a few chances on the break, but they just lacked that finishing touch when it mattered.
But they were made to pay on 30 minutes when Szereto scored for the home side direct from a free-kick to leave Rovers trailing at the break despite enjoying more of the ball and opportunities.
Thankfully Rovers stepped it up a level in the second half with Tre Pemberton at the heart of everything. The wide-man beat his marker to deliver to the back post where substitute Evans took a touch before firing home his first goal of the season.
Boosted by their equaliser, Rovers went in search of a winner and it arrived just five minutes later.
A driving run from Stefan Mols saw the midfielder find Mason Fawns and he showed good awareness to take the ball to the byline before squaring for Lynch to fire home from close range.
The Potters looked to hit back in the closing stages with Rovers having to defend stoutly at times to ensure the points would be heading back to Lancashire.
"The togetherness and the desire to win the game was outstanding," said assistant Under-18s coach Ian Jones.
"It was really pleasing, we had a few players missing with some being involved with the Under-23s as well as a few out with injuries.
"So we were a little makeshift in the attacking third but we did really well.
"We had to defend well at the end, making four or five blocks from a Stoke corner, we didn't want to give anything away."
