Rovers Ladies goalkeeper Amelia Size has been called up by Wales to participate in their forthcoming round of qualifiers for the UEFA European Women’s U17 Championship.
Size has been a regular in Jayne Ludlow’s Under-17 squad and was previously named vice-captain for a set of qualifying fixtures against Hungary, Denmark and Israel.
The 15-year-old goalkeeper could feature in up to four games for her country as Wales will first have a warm up game, before travelling to Riga on October 1 to play against hosts Latvia, Germany and Turkey.
Size joined Rovers’ Centre of Excellence in 2014 and is now in her third season with Rovers after previously having spells with Everton and Manchester City.
