Blackburn Rovers Community Trust are looking to recruit staff on a casual basis to assist with the ongoing organisation of our rapidly expanding National Citizen Service (NCS) programme.
The life-changing scheme is aimed primarily at 16 and 17-year-old recruits who want to gain new skills and confidence to help them as they prepare to make the transition from education to employment, with our Community Trust currently operating one of the biggest NCS schemes of any football club's charitable arm in the north west.
As such, we need reliable and experienced helpers to deliver the programme alongside our team leaders as seasonal work, based on a brace of two week stints in the Autumn and Spring, followed by a bumper four week course in the Summer.
The successful candidates will be required to work four days/three nights at a residential centre and three days at a classroom location in Lancashire over two consecutive weeks in October/November and January/February/March (exact month TBC), followed by a full-time combination of both elements over a four week period in July/August. A full briefing on the required duties will be offered, which will include the care of teenage children and assisting with outward bound activities, making it an ideal post for a retired or part-time teacher.
Applicants must have - or be willing to undertake - the following:
- Clean DBS record check
- Safeguarding training
- First aid training
- Online NCS training course
Competitive rates are an offer, with applications via the form of a CV and covering letter invited on an ongoing basis to our NCS coordinator, Jonny Ellithorn, via firstname.lastname@example.org
