Rovers Ladies were victorious once again on Sunday afternoon with a 4-0 win away at Bradford City.

Goals from Faye McCoy, Lynda Shepherd, Ella Toone and Natasha Fenton ensured a third league win for Gemma Donnelly's side to move them to the top of the FA Women's Premier League North Division.

There was little in the way of goalmouth action until just past the quarter-hour when Danielle Whitham forced a good save from the Bradford keeper, but moments later the Rovers would break the deadlock.

A floated corner from the right was met by Faye McCoy, the in-form forward grabbing her sixth of the season with a fine header.

Despite Bradford working hard in an attempt to get back into the game, it was Rovers who doubled their advantage thanks to another set-piece goal.

Kayleigh McDonald floated a free-kick into the area to where Lynda Shepard's looping header was only parried into the back of her own net by the Bradford goalkeeper.

There was still time for the Ladies to add a third before the break. Saffron Jordan, who had earlier gone close to getting on the scoresheet herself, showed great instincts with a clever back-heel to send Ella Toone in on goal and she applied a composed finish.

The second half was a tighter affair as Bradford showed good spirit to keep Rovers at bay, but with seconds to go a fourth goal for the visitors was added.

After winning the ball high upfield, Jess Holbrook laid it off for Fenton who took a touch before firing home an unstoppable effort from 25-yards to wrap up all three points.

ROVERS: Hill, Pearson (sub Taylor 83 mins), Cook , Bickett, McDonald, Shepherd, Toone (sub Rankin 50 mins), Holbrook, McCoy (sub Fenton 72 mins), Whitham, Jordan.

Subs not used: Flynn.
