New signing Marvin Emnes is eager to grasp the chance handed to him with his move to Ewood Park.
The Dutch attacker became Owen Coyle's 12th signing of the summer when he made the deadline day switch from Swansea City to Rovers on loan until January 2017.
Emnes has found first team opportunities limited since his move to South Wales, so can't wait to play his part at his new club.
"It feels great to be here, it gives me the opportunity to play football again," the 28-year-old told Rovers PlayerHD.
"It is a big club, I had my first training session on Monday and I really enjoyed it, I'm really looking forward to being here.
"As a player you always want to play football, so now I've got the chance to play again so I'm looking forward to doing that."
The former Middlesbrough frontman always felt he would move on from Swansea during the transfer window, and had clubs in Germany and Spain after his services, but once he heard of Rovers' interest he knew it was the obvious choice.
"I had a couple of options so I knew it was going to happen, the question was where it was going to be," he added.
"I had options from Spain and Germany but the English leagues are the best leagues so that is why I stayed in the UK, I think I made a good choice to come and play for Blackburn.
"I've played in this league before so I know all about it. It is getting better every year so I'm looking forward to it.
"So now I am going to work hard and try and help the team. I'm ready to play games, that is what I have come for."
Emnes and Rovers are back in action this Saturday when they travel to Loftus Road to take on Queens Park Rangers. Prices are from £28 for Adults, £19 Seniors/18-21yrs, and from £13 for Under-18s. Book online today at www.eticketing.co.uk/onerovers
