Whilst Marvin Emnes was delighted to open his account for his new club, he was disappointed that it didn't lead to a positive result.
The Dutch striker, who is on loan with Rovers from Swansea City until the turn of the year, scored a sensational equaliser on Tuesday night against Leeds United.
Emnes was then denied a second goal as Rob Green saved well, but the hosts scored two minutes from time to claim the points.
"We got it to 1-1 and hoped to get another goal to win the game but they scored instead so it is hard to take," said the striker.
"I knew I hit it nicely, from the minute I hit the ball I knew it was a goal, it felt good. I had a chance after that as well but the keeper made a good save.
"As soon as you get to a new club all you want to do is set the standards and try and get that first goal as soon as possible and kick on from there.
"I haven't played for a long time but I know what I can do.
"It is all about time, the Championship is different compared to the Premier League and the more games I play the fitter I'll get and more goals will come."
Rovers and Emnes are back in action this Saturday when Rotherham United are the visitors to Ewood Park.
