Getting better with every game

13 September 2016

Sam Gallagher firmly believes that Rovers are fully capable of following up Saturday's point at Queens Park Rangers by getting all three at Leeds United this evening.

The England youth international scored a superb second half header to earn a share of the spoils at Loftus Road at the weekend, and whilst disappointed they weren't able to clam the win, he feels Rovers are going in the right direction.

"We showed great character to come back to get a point but we feel that we could have got more," Gallagher told Rovers PlayerHD.

"Every point is just as important as the next, it would have been better if it was three, but I'm sure it they'll come and with more performances like that and I'm sure they will do.

"We feel like we are playing better each game and that is only going to put us in good stead. We have made some great additions to the team as well and that is just going to strengthen it even further.

"When the games come as they do with two games a week you can have two good weeks and there's 12 points right there so it can make a big difference.

"We just need to make the most of each game and give it our best shot. Leeds is a great place to play, we want to get at them and let them know that they won't be in for an easy game."

Saturday's strike for Gallagher was his second goal since joining on a season-long loan from Southampton, with the 20-year-old pleased with how it has gone so far.

He added: "I'm loving my time here, I'm getting games and playing football at a great standard, so hopefully I'll get more goals and I'll keep enjoying my football.

"I feel like I'm settling in well and I'm really happy to be here."
