Rovers boss Owen Coyle was full of praise for his strike duo in Saturday's win over Rotherham United.

Marvin Emnes scored his second in as many games and claimed two assists, whilst Sam Gallagher took his goal tally to three for the season as Rovers ran out 4-2 winners at Ewood Park.

Coyle was impressed with the performance from the pair and felt that they really set the standard with their play.

"I thought Emnes and Gallagher were outstanding," the manager told Radio Rovers.

"They really showed their quality, the two of them together were terrific.

"They gave us pace, they gave us strength, and today they gave us goals.

"I thought it was a wonderful team performance and the strikers were pivotal to how we played and long may that continue."
