We want to be really positive

Owen Coyle believes Rovers have the attacking players in the squad to help claim the points against Ipswich Town this Saturday afternoon.

Rovers are back in action at Ewood Park with the manager predicting a positive approach from the side in blue and white.

Coyle admits the onus is on them to take the game to the opposition and give the home fans something to cheer.

"We want to be really positive on Saturday," said the manager. "We are at home, we want to be playing on the front foot, and we want to be showing that we are trying to win the game in the right manner and it is important that we do that.

"The onus is on us to be playing well and showing the supporters that the players are trying everything in their power for that Blackburn Rovers shirt.

"It will be a tough game, but we have to make sure that we can control what we can and that is by working hard to earn the right to pass and move the ball and when we do that to try and be incisive with pace and penetration.

"We know that with the likes of Gallagher, Emnes, Conway, and Samuelsen we've got the boys who can create and score chances. So we have to make sure that we are ready to go and capitalise that.

"But we need to get better by getting clean sheets and giving ourselves a platform to go and win games. It takes a collective effort to do that.

"We believe that we should have had more points to show for our last six games, but we have shown that we can be a decent team in this league so now is the time to kick on and start moving up the table."
