Rovers' Irish trio of Darragh Lenihan, Tommie Hoban and Jack Byrne have each been named in Noel King's Republic of Ireland Under-21 squad for their forthcoming UEFA U21 qualifier against Serbia.

Having missed out on the chance to reach next summer's finals with an away defeat to next Friday's opponents last month, the Irish now have little but pride to play for in Waterford.

Italy have finished top of Group 2, with second-placed Serbia in pole position for a play-off spot ahead of Slovenia by two points. Ireland can't finish any higher than fourth.
