Martin Samuelsen scored his first goal for Norway as they picked up their first World Cup qualification points with a 4-1 win over San Marino on Tuesday night.
The hosts were given a scare in Oslo when San Marino's Mattia Stefanelli cancelled out Davide Simoncini's first half own goal. But three goals in the final 13 minutes of the match saw the Norwegians claim the victory.
Adama Diomande put the home side back in front on 77 minutes, before Samuelsen, who was introduced on 67, made it 3-1 to Norway. Former Rover Josh King then netted to secure the points.
Also in Group C, Northern Ireland suffered their first qualifying defeat as they went down 2-0 to Germany in Hannover.
Corry Evans played the full 90 minutes for Michael O'Neill's side, as first half goals from Sami Khedira and Julian Draxler saw the home side win.
