Owen Coyle believes there is much more to come from striker Sam Gallagher.
Ahead of this afternoon's match against Bristol City, the young forward took his goal tally to five with his brace in the midweek win over Nottingham Forest, to take the lead in the Ewood goalscoring charts.
The Rovers boss has been delighted with the 21-year-old's impact since joining on a season-long loan from Southampton, and knows that if he keeps showing his willingness to learn he can only get better.
"I think Sam has really grasped the opportunity," said the manager.
"He is young and he still has a lot to learn. I try to speak to him each day to try and impart some experience and knowledge that I've picked up over the years.
"He is willing to listen, he is willing to learn and it is showing. He is champing at the bit to get better and I do believe in time he will become a bona fide Premier League player
"The fans have really taken to him which is brilliant, they are singing his name and getting behind him and it is so important as not only does it help Sam Gallagher but it helps the team."
