Darragh gives you everything he's got

Owen Coyle believes the versatility that Darragh Lenihan is offering can only help him as a footballer.

With Rovers short on bodies in defence in recent weeks, Lenihan has dropped back from the centre of midfield to be a pivotal part of the back four.

The Rovers boss has been delighted with the Republic of Ireland Under-21 international's performances and feels that he shows heart and real determination in everything he does.

"For me Darragh is one of those boys that can play in a number of positions," Coyle told Rovers PlayerHD.

"He has very good quality, he is good technically, and he has a real heart, a real desire, he's a proper man on the field, he gives you everything he has got.

"Of course he has already shown at centre back that he can perform at a very high level, as he has done previously in the middle of the park.

"So I don't think it is one of those ones you can ever close the door on it, you always look to keep your options open as a player.

"The important thing is regardless of what position he plays, that the focus and the concentration is there, because he has the other tools to do well.

"When you play a number of positions you have a better understanding of the game."

Lenihan and Rovers are back in action this Saturday afternoon when Wolves are the visitors to Ewood Park in the 5.30pm kick-off.

Tickets are priced from £22 for Adults, £14 Concessions and £9 for Juniors aged 17 and under.
