Build on Forest win at Bristol City

Darragh Lenihan hopes Rovers can build on their last two outings when they travel to take on Bristol City this Saturday.

Rovers followed up the point against Ipswich with all three against Nottingham Forest in midweek, to put them in good heart for the Ashton Gate clash.

The Irishman felt some of the football the team played at Ewood against Forest, particularly in the first half, was some of the best they've managed this season, and he hopes they are able to carry that on at the weekend.

"It was brilliant to get the win and get the three points and now we can push on and look forward to Bristol City," Lenihan told Radio Rovers after Tuesday night's game.

"At Ipswich we were good but we didn't do enough to win the game, but today the first 45 minutes was probably up there with the best we've played.

"It was a great start from the lads, Sam getting his two goals, he was excellent and deserved the man-of-the-match.

"We've got four points from our last two games and we just need to build on this and hopefully get another three points on Saturday.

"We obviously had a difficult start to the season but now we've put that behind us and can look forward to the next game and work as hard as we can to get the three points."
