A game that could suit us

Boss Owen Coyle is predicting a contrasting game when Rovers take on Nottingham Forest at Ewood Park this evening.

The manager believes the visitors' attacking pedigree will lead to a more open game in contrast to the weekend draw with Ipswich Town.

"They are a very good side, a very attacking side," said Coyle. "They'll look to commit players forward so I think it is a game that will suit us.

"We have a certain way of playing and when you have different match-ups sometimes styles are conducive to a better game.

"But whatever team you are playing in the Championship it is up to us on the field at the time to solve those problems.

"Whether a team is direct, whether they want to be free flowing or build from the back and through the middle, that is the challenge that is presented to you every game, so we've got to be aware of that.

"But equally the more that we play together, we've to understand that we have to play to our strengths and don't get caught up in somebody else's.

"So we have to stay true to that principle of passing and moving the ball and when we do that we've shown that we can create chances.

"If we are at our best we have shown that we can beat very good teams and that is what we will look to do."
