Tough tie in Youth Cup

Rovers have been handed a tough away draw in the third round of the FA Youth Cup.

Billy Barr's young side will face Premier League giants Arsenal in their opening fixture of the prestigious youth competition.

Rovers reached the semi-final stage last season, beating Southend United (1-0), Leicester City (3-2), Aston Villa (2-1) and Luton Town (1-0), before losing 4-1 on aggregate to eventual winners Chelsea.  

The Gunners also made it through to the last four in 2015-16, before being knocked out by Manchester City over two legs.

A date and venue for the fixture will be confirmed in due course.
