Team news: Rovers v Oldham Athletic

Team news from Ewood Park as Rovers take on Oldham Athletic in the Checkatrade Trophy.

Rovers have named a strong team for tonight's final Checkatrade Trophy group game at home to Oldham Athletic.

Eight of Damien Johnson's starting line-up have all played first team football for the club this season.

Anthony Stokes and Elliott Bennett lead the attack, with Liam Feeney and Connor Mahoney supporting from the flanks.

David Raya starts in goal, with Stephen Hendrie and Ryan Nyambe filling the full-back roles and skipper Scott Wharton partnering fit-again Wes Brown at the centre of defence.

Rovers need to win and win well to stand any chance of progressing through to the knockout stage of the revamped competition.
