Team news from St. James' Park as Rovers take on Newcastle United...

Rovers have named an unchanged starting eleven for this afternoon's match against Newcastle.

The only changes come on the substitutes' bench with Marvin Emnes and Hope Akpan returning as boss Owen Coyle keeps faith with the side that beat Brentford 3-2 seven days ago.

In contrast, the home side have made six changes from the side that defeated Leeds United, as Isaac Haden, Chancel Mbemba, DeAndre Yedlin, Jesus Gamez, Christian Atsu and Aleksandar Mitrovic come in for Paul Dummett, Jack Colback, Jamaal Lascelles, Vurnon Anita, Dwight Gayle and Yoan Gouffran.

There is no place in the 18 for former Rover Grant Hanley.

NEWCASTLE: Darlow, Clark, Ritchie, Shelvey (c), Hayden, Perez, Mbemba, Yedlin, Gamez, Atsu, Mitrovic.
Subs: Sels (GK), Dummett, Lascelles, Anita, Gayle, Diame, Gouffran.

ROVERS: Steele, Marshall, Lenihan, Mulgrew, Williams, Feeney, Lowe (c), Evans, Conway, Graham, Gallagher.

Subs: Raya (GK), Stokes, Emnes, Akpan, Nyambe, Brown, Bennett.
