Blackburn Rovers Ladies are only 90 minutes away from retaining their Lancashire County Cup title after the 5-0 demolition of Morecambe on Sunday.
On a comfortable afternoon for the Rovers, five different Ladies found the back of the net to overcome the Shrimps and book their place in the final.
Rovers started in a manner which would set the tone for the entire game, with strong possession, quick football and a threat inside the box.
The first goal came just nine minutes in when Ella Toone and Lynda Shepherd combined inside the box to set up a tidy finish for Saffron Jordan.
Soon after, Rovers doubled their lead when a sharp attack gave down the right gave Emma Rankin the chance to tee up Ainsley Strickland for her fourth goal in the county cup this campaign.
Rankin would go from provider to scorer after half-time when Jordan smartly played her in on the right side of the box before she tucked the ball home at the near post.
Next would be the goal of the day from Natasha Fenton. Having the ball being cleared from inside the box, Fenton beats her marker to the ball before beating another and unleashing a powerful volley from the edge of the box to make it four.
Finally, super-sub Alex Taylor would come off the bench again to wrap up the scoring when she drilled a shot low and hard across the goalkeeper from 15 yards.
Rovers will face either Blackpool Wren Rovers or Fylde Ladies in the final.
