Corry Evans could be given the night off as Northern Ireland take on Croatia in a friendly this evening.

The Rovers midfielder played 81 minutes and produced an accomplished performance as he helped his side defeat Azerbaijan 4-0 in a World Cup qualifier on Friday.

Manager Michael O'Neill has hinted that he will ring the changes for tonight's encounter in Belfast, with the remaining players in the squad expected to get a game.

Friday's victory saw Northern Ireland leapfrog their opponents into second place in Group C, while Croatia currently top Group I having won three and drawn one of their fixtures so far.

Meanwhile, Martin Samuelsen has been drafted into the Norway Under-21 squad for their UEFA European Under-21 Championship play-off second leg against Serbia.

Serbia took a big step towards next summer's finals with a 2-0 victory at home to Norway on Friday.

Samuelsen was with the Norway senior squad last week for their World Cup qualifier against the Czech Republic, but having not been involved in Prague, he could be unleashed on the Serbs this evening.

In Spain, Jack Byrne is with the Republic of Ireland Under-21s for a friendly against Slovakia.
