Rovers' development squad are back in action at Ewood this Tuesday evening when they take on Oldham Athletic in their final group match of the Checkatrade Trophy.

Damien Johnson's side know they need to win, and win well, after two losses in the competition to date to have any chance of progressing through to the knockout stages.

The Rovers youngsters impressed but were ultimately unsuccessful as they went down 1-0 to Fleetwood Town at the Highbury Stadium in their opening group match.

Then at Brunton Park they put in another encouraging display, but again without reward, as they lost 2-0 to high-flying Carlisle United.

Tuesday's opponents at Ewood Park began their Checkatrade Trophy campaign with a dramatic 5-4 home defeat at the hands of Carlisle, but claimed their first points of the competition with a 2-0 win at Fleetwood.

In order to reach the knockout stages Rovers must win by three clear goals and hope that Carlisle make it three wins from three.

Fans planning on coming to Ewood to cheer on the youngsters should get their tickets in advance to save on matchday prices.

Advanced prices are £5 for Adults, £2.50 for Concessions (65+ and ages 12-17), whilst Juniors aged under 12 can gain free admission with a paying adult.

On the day prices are £10 for Adults, £5 for Concessions and £2.50 for Under-12s.

Kick-off at Ewood on Tuesday night is at 7.30pm.
