A test we are looking forward to

Danny Graham returns to his native north east this Saturday eager to put one over boyhood club Newcastle United.

The Gateshead-born striker grew up supporting the Magpies, but insists he'll be going all out to help Rovers claim the points at St. James' Park.

The 31-year-old, who took his goal tally for the season to four last weekend with a brace in Rovers' 3-2 win over Brentford, knows that it won't be easy against a Newcastle side riding high at the top of the table, but he firmly believes that the Lancastrians can come away with a positive result.

"It is going to be a great game, it is a great stadium to go to and I'm just glad that we are going there off the back of three points on Saturday," Graham told Rovers PlayerHD.

"Hopefully we can go there and surprise a few people. It is going to be tough, they have probably got one of the best squads in the Championship. They are going to have something like 50,000 fans there so it is going to be a great test and it is something that we are looking forward to.

"There's no point going into the game thinking that we are already beaten, so we'll go up there and hopefully we can give a good account of ourselves and we'll see what happens.

"I think we have to go there with no fear, we obviously respect them as they are a good team, but if you go up there and you show fear then they'll punish you, they've done that in the Championship already this year. We'll go up there and worry about ourselves and hopefully give a good account.

"If we can get a result it would spread massive belief throughout the squad, we know it is going to the tough, they've won eight in a row, so we are under no illusions, but if we concentrate on ourselves and not worry about them too much."
