Owen Coyle was delighted with his side's performance as they defeated Brentford 3-2 at Ewood Park.
Rovers quickly overcame the shock of going behind after 33 seconds to lead thanks to Danny Graham's quick-fire double and although Scott Hogan levelled, a Harlee Dean own goal saw the home side get their noses in front at the break.
No further goals were added to the scoreline in the second half as Rovers held on to to claim a worthwhile victory.
"Over the course of that game we fully deserved the three points," Coyle told Rovers PlayerHD.
"I thought we were outstanding today, we scored three goals and could have had five or six so there is a lot to be pleased about.
"With the clear cut chances that we had in the first half, the game should have probably been out of sight.
"Some of our football, particularly in the first half, was sensational. Then in the second half we had plenty of opportunities to get 4-2 in front and put the game beyond doubt.
"But when you don't of course there is going to be a little bit of nervousness creeping in, but we then showed a tremendous character, a tremendous spirit, resilience and real quality on the ball. They stood up, they put their bodies on the line.
"I'm delighted with every one of them. There were so many positives from today, it is a fantastic three points for the football club."
